On the octane site, there were pictures of the crew members, pictures of the coffee lounge, pictures of their tee shirts. They also have a road map giving directions from different areas. They offer their email address so you can email them. They use flash in their heading.

The next site, samovartea, offers a little more for their customers. They have a special page for their events. They have a tea sampling each month. They offer time for aspiring musicians to perform live friday evenings. They charge $5 for the customers to see the event. The site has a shop. They have an "about" page that offers information about samovar, directions, and contact information, along with some really nice photos of the store.

The acoustic site did not have much to offer. They pretty much kept to one page. They did however give booking information. There are not a lot of sites on the internet about coffee lounges. This would be a great opportunity since the competition is slim.

End User Senario:

A young couple move to the area. They are looking for a nice place to meet nice people and enjoy listening to punk and alternative music. The enjoy drinking different blends of coffee. This would be a great way for them to find your lounge.

A 40 year old man is looking for a place to relax after a hard days work at the office. He likes to drink specialtiy coffees and he does a search in the area for coffee shops. He comes across your appealing site and stops in after work. He was impressed and goes back and tells his co-workers about your coffee lounge. Pretty soon you have about five more regulars that enjoy your coffee lounge.

Flow Chart:

Site Concept:

I want the site to look smooth, warm and inviting. I want the visitors to return and want information
about the upcoming events. The site will be uniform throughout, which will make it more eye appealing.
The logo will have animation that will catch the visitors attention. The navigation bar will not be too big or too small.

Link to Events Page
Link to Communities Page

I designed the logo and navigation buttons myself. I found the "no life before coffee" on the internet and thought it was cute and would look great in the page. I choose the colors because of the color of coffee and the purple is a great accent color.

2 layouts

I chose layout 2 because I like the way the page looked with the content, logo, header and navigation bar. The page looks more organized.
